Ancient Essential Oils
By Ariana Harley
with guests Dr. Louise Rose ND and Dr. Mica Carew ND, LAc
This webinar is an exploration of the spiritual, mental and physical benefits of doTERRA’s Ancient Oils collection
(Available for a limited time on the doTERRA website). While doTERRA Frankincense and Myrrh are available always, Hyssop, Galbanum, Cystus and Common Myrtle (ironically) are only available in a limited quantity because they are difficult to source. When doTERRA can only sustainably harvest a small amount of plant material, we release the essential oil for a special promotion so that our customers get to experience those powerful oils while also respecting the environment.

Read the blog post:
These essential oils - Hyssop, Myrrh, Frankincense, Galbanum, Cystus and Common Myrtle - were once worth their literal weight in gold and traded in far-away regions around the world. This collection is inspired by the cultures and peoples of the distant past. They have been referenced many times in both the New Testament and the Old Testament of the Bible!
Read the blog post below or watch an in-depth review of their benefits in the webinar above.

doTERRA Frankincense is ethically sourced from Somalia and available in the Ancient Oils Collection as well as on its own. Frankincense is one of the most beloved essential oils of all time, being useful for so many issues both mental and physical.
Physical benefits of Frankincense:
To experience the physical benefits of Frankincense, you can apply it topically. My favorite way to do this is by putting it in unscented lotion like this (click the cart and add your oils) or using fractionated coconut oil which helps you apply it to your skin evenly.

It is so thick that the cap often gets stuck on the bottle! Be sure to run the bottle under a stream of hot water in the sink so that it’s easier to open. You can use Myrrh topically, aromatically and internally. It smells rich, astringent, earthy and musky. It is a deep healing essential oil.

Galbanum is a very rare and precious essential oil. The plant grows naturally in Turkey, and it created resinous lumps then used to create essential oil. While you may see Galbanum available on the internet, it is widely known that true Galbanum is not easily sourced in an ethical way so it is frequently adulterated with pine oil. This is only available in the Ancient Oils collection for a limited time.
Please note that Galbanum is not for use by people who are pregnant due to how stimulating it can be hormonally.

When smelling Galbanum straight out of the bottle, many do not like the aroma…until they apply it to the skin. It has a fresh green aroma and contains chemistry not found in any other plant - including a molecule ONLY found in Galbanum!
